Many recovery failures trace back to backup materials rather than the device itself. A word rubbed off a steel plate, a partial Shamir set, or a paper backup stored in a humid environment can make recovery impossible even when the hardware wallet functions perfectly.
Session scope
We examine your backup materials under controlled lighting, checking word count, legibility, language consistency, and physical degradation. For Shamir or SLIP-39 shares, we verify threshold requirements and share numbering. We never ask you to speak seed words aloud in a shared space or enter them into connected equipment.
Deliverable
You leave with an annotated checklist of backup conditions and specific remediation steps — re-stamping a steel plate, creating a redundant copy, or locating a missing Shamir share — before attempting device recovery.
